What if I’ve never practiced Yoga before?
We recommend if you have never practiced yoga before to enroll in a Yoga 101, Yoga Basics, Yin or Restorative yoga class or set up a private yoga session. These classes are designed to help the person that is new to yoga or returning to yoga after injury or illness, by going through the foundation of yoga poses and yoga practice and move slower so no one will feel left behind.
What do I wear?
Clothes you can move in and you feel comfortable in. It can be yoga clothes but does not have to be. Many people have a beautiful practice in sweat pants and a tee-shirt. Yoga clothing usually is fitted to the body, will not bunch and gather around while you are moving so can be a bit less to deal with. To practice yoga you are barefoot.
What do I bring?
We have yoga mats, blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters and all basic supplies that you will need. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We have water available as well.
What class is the right class for me?
We do offer a variety of classes for all levels of practitioners, so it really depends on what you are looking for. Click here for descriptions of classes offered.
Never done yoga and/or recovering from injuries or haven’t done much in the last few years?
Try a Yoga 101, Yoga Basics, Functional Fitness, Yin or Restorative yoga class.
New to yoga but relatively active or no injuries?
Try a Yoga 101, Yoga Basics, Functional Fitness, Ashtanga Half Series, any of our Vinyasa classes, Yin or Restorative.
In good shape and ready for a challenge?
Try Ashtanga Half, Full or 2nd Series classes, and Slow Flow.
Super tight muscles or looking to focus on stress relief and relaxation?
Try a Functional Fitness, Yin or Restorative yoga class.
Looking for relief from anxiety and/or depression?
Try a Kundalini Meditation or Restorative Yoga Class.
Heard about the benefits of meditation and want to learn more?
Try Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. If you are a beginner, check the schedule for a Gentle Kundalini class. Also, look for special events.
